We all may get caught up in our own worlds but it is beautiful to see how we come together during times such as Australia in need. About six or seven years ago, we experienced horrendous nearby fires when I lived in Texas. A few years back, where I live now—the Smoky Mountains— we experienced and unprecedented fire. It was devastating. It didn’t affect me directly, but towns within a couple of hours of me, were taken to their knees. So, when author friends asked me to join a charity to raise money for Australia, I was all in.
